happy columbus day

I love Columbus Day. If you’re OCD and a planner, like I am with most things, it’s the official start of the Holidays. It’s also the day I torment my girls with taking the annual Christmas Card photo. Except for this year. The oldest is in her 3rd year of college, and it has slowly gotten normal to not have her here all the time. I’ll be totally used to it by the time she comes back. Life is funny that way.

If the sight of Christmas decorations at Breed & Co. has you nervous, fear not! If you get on it now, you’ll be drinking a glass of bubbly by the tree the day after Thanksgiving…at least that’s my plan (whether I have it all done, or not).

I have a lot going on this year, and I’m excited about all of it. If you find yourself in the midst of changes  - a divorce, kids off to college, illness, remember this: as goofy as it sounds, a good attitude is the best weapon you can have against the crap that life throws at you. Even when people let you down, remember that you always have the one person that you can count on no matter what…yourself.

Now, where are those damn Halloween docorations…
