scouting the home shops

I’ve been thinking about replacing the floors in my house for 2 years. So, I got a quote. I almost fell off the bar stool – 30K! Now I know why only castles had stone floors and the peasants were left sweeping the dirt around with those old witchy broomsticks.  Where is my broom stick?

Updating the house is fun and exciting but it’s also a pain when you think of dealing with all the people in and out, choosing everything you think you want but worried you’ll make a mistake, because there’s nothing like a 30k mistake to ruin your day.

Some stone floors to consider…

A few things I’ve been looking at from various shops around Austin…

These you could do yourself…

That would be great! But enjoy these early days with the beeb. You never get them back (I got sick of hearing that, but it’s too true not to repeat).
