Just when I thought there was nothing that could make me procrastinate more than I already do…I discovered Pinterest. My daughter has an account and the iphone app.
When I asked her what it was, she told me, “It’s all these pictures.” Big Deal. There are photos all over the internet. And then I checked it out for myself. Pinterest is better than facebook because it’s an escape. After 30 minutes on facebook you are left with the feeling that A) everyone has more friends than you; B) everyone is having more fun than you; and C) everyone looks better in their photos than you do. When you get feed up with facebook, try exploring Pinterest, where you can assemble a visual list of anything you want, but it’s better than a list because instead of words, you have pictures. A picture is worth a 1000 words was never better exemplified. While facebook is reality tv, Pinterest is a great romantic film, or drama, or mystery…it’s whatever you collect. It’s just another reason to be late for work. Check it out and see if it’s as visually addicting for you.
